Rather than neglect the blog altogether, I decided to take a few more pictures when I went out to get breakfast. I know that my fellow Kenoshans have been to "Pets" thousands of times. Therefore, these are intended for my friends from Britain and the others that aren't from our fair city.
A Big Red Wooden Sign
A Pair Of Big Red Wooden Rails
A Gazebo Hiding In The Trees
A Playground With No Little Kids Playing
A Golf Course With No Big Kids Playing
That's it for my rainy pictorial tour of Petrifying Springs. I really think that my captions captured the essence of these pictures, don't you? I bet that you feel as if you were there! Time to write. Until next time…from the booth.

Pets Park is one of my favorite places in Kenosha. It's even better in the winter because it looks so magical! Lovely photos, Paul!
Thank you Mary. It is nice to hear a few nice words about my pictures. Others viewed them somewhat differently.
My friends in England offered the following comments on facebook:
Beryl Cooper - "very funny, that made me laugh."
Debbie Lammas - "very good, once again you made me laugh."
Mary, am I missing something? Were my captions too esoteric? Oh well, at least they enjoyed them. I think…
Well, the playground and the golf course captions were a little funny. Maybe it's the point blank way you describe things. That is indeed a red sign and two red rails. Hahah! Still, I like the pics!
It looks so quiet! Something I rarely get to enjoy.
Perhaps you are correct Mary, I was just surprised how humorous my British buddies found them!
Julie, it was quiet and also very peaceful. And at the same time somehow hilarious…
Very good photos Paul, with a lot of 'red' mentioned !
I was going through my "Red" period…
People in Kenosha don't appreciate what a nice park Pets is.
I liked the entry sign. To me it is iconic.
