K-Town TV

As many of you know, Oprah Winfrey has recently launched her own network. It is called OWN – Oprah Winfrey Network. A tad pretentious? Perhaps, but when you are worth 2.4 billion dollars, you can call your network anything you want. Having your own network would be outstanding, wouldn’t it? So outstanding that I have decided to create my own network.

Since I am not worth quite as much Oprah, my network will be called K-Town TV and will be based in Kenosha. The local shows will be done at my Luap Studios located in lovely downtown Kenosha. If you are clever, you will figure out the studio name.

Here is the logo and the Monday thru Friday Schedule:

Midnight – 2 episodes of Seinfeld

1:00 am – 2 episodes of Cheers

2:00 am – 2 episodes of News Radio

3:00 am – 2 episodes of The Bob Newhart Show

11:00 am – Shakin’ Up Kenosha w/Dennis Shook

Noon – Bundy’s Big Bang w/Joey Vagnoni

1:00 pm – Kenosha Sports Talk w/Pat Hegewald

2:00 pm – K-Town Classics w/Paul Vagnoni

9:00 pm – The Wire

10:00 pm – TMJ4 Live – Pathieu, McCrady, Fish and Needles

10:30 pm – Local and Live! w/Jim Selovich

I think it will be a great weekday lineup. Without going into great detail, the weekend schedule would consist of my favorite game shows, sitcoms and a mini-marathon from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Marathons would include: The Three Stooges, World’s Strongest Man, King Of The Hill, Whose Line Is It Anyway? (BBC), Survivor and Hell’s Kitchen to name a few.

There you have it. Pretty impressive, huh? I will give you a while to absorb the concept. Feel free to send me comments and suggestions, as this lineup can be tweaked. Over the next few days I will elaborate on some of the “local” shows. So be sure to check back often!

Until next time…from the booth.

So from Vagnoni's studios 'The Dick van Dyke Show' ? No Who special - I am a little surprised. Gordon Ramsay does nothing for me but I do like Hell's Kitchen. Surprised there is no Bay Watch or America's Got Talent and surely there should be an all time class Packers game. Oh well it is nice to dream.

No Sue, Dick Van Dyke would be the classics from the '60s. Maybe we could do a Kenosha Got Talent on my Local and Live! late night show…

Paul,
I was hoping for some "WKRP", a little "The Real McCoy's", a dash of "F Troop" and lastly, on Sunday afternoons, Frasier Thomas and "Family Classics". For the kids, how about Garfield Goose and Friends??

Reggie, WKRP is an excellent choice and could definitely be added. As far as F Troop and Family Classics go…

Good idea Paul. Get yourself a station!

I'd love to see Survivor Simon's Island.

If only I could, Greg! Maybe Oprah will sponsor me…

This is to Reggie-
You are the BOMB! I thought I was the only person left alive that had a clue about Frasier Thomas, Family Classics and Garfield Goose-don't forget Garfield's ever present side-kick Bunny Rabbit who did all the "talking." OMG.
Family Classics introduced me to some most excellent flicks like "The Time Machine" and "Journey to the Center of the Earth." What bliss as a kid to sit cross-legged on the floor and get totally lost in those movies...ah the good old days...

Karen, I believe the rabbit's name was Romberg Rabbit. They also featured a bloodhound named Beauregard Burnside III. My favorite part was Clutch Cargo with sidekicks, Spinner and Paddlefoot.

The Match Game needs to move to 9:30 or 10 because I have to get my kid to school and then sit down with a nice cup of coffee.

Julie, you are in luck. The times for my schedule are Central time and you are Eastern time! Therefore, the Match Game would come on at 9:30 am for you. So you will be able to enjoy your coffee while watching Charles Nelson Reilly and the gang.

Paul, along the same lines as Alaska Karen's comments, I think you should add Garfield Goose, as well as Ray Rayner (either in his morning show with Chalveston the Duck OR one of his afternoon shows -- like Dick Tracy or the one where Ray was an astronaut). BTW, great to see your blog!

Thank you, Mary! I am so glad that you enjoy my blog. Can I be so forward as to ask you your last name? :)

Mary Uhlich, it's you! I saw your name when I noticed that my blog had a new follower. Great hearing from you again.
